My article on intonation and warm up. This is a long tone exercise that I developed from different sources which can be used as a general warm up. When used with a tuner box that emits a pitch, it is an invaluable tool for training the ear for intonation. Did you know that good non-keyboard musicians do not routinely tune to equal temperment? Find out why.
Anne Bell's ABC Index
Anne says, "This Index started as a graduate project and has continued
to grow from there. There are some very interesting links to both
commercial and a large number of noncommercial and educational sites.
It certainly is not limited to clarinet sites. I hope that you will
visit and let me know what you think. If you have any other links
to share the information would be appreciated."
Online Clarinet Resource
An incredible resource for both learning and teaching all levels of
clarinetistry.
MIDI files of clarinet solo accompaniments
What a great way to learn clarinet solos with accompaniment without having to find able pianist and trying to work out a rehearsal schedule! With a basic MIDI editing program you can work in nuances and tempos - even slow down very difficult passages for practice. A time consuming venture, granted, but a great way to learn the music. I frequently use MIDI accompaniments to teach, learn new music and memorizing solos. Here are some of my favorite sites:
