Marching Band

History:
The CCSU Marching Band was organized in 1972. After serving the University at home football games, it was disbanded two years later. The band was re-instituted in 1988 and continued until its second disbanding in 1994. During its second tour organization, the band performed football games both home and away marched in parades throughout New England, performed in exhibition at area high school marching competitions and also at venues such as the Eastern States Exposition and at Foxboro Stadium for a New England Patriots halftime show. The Marching Blue Devils has recently entered its third "existence" as an official CCSU organization 2000 performing at home football games and making its first off campus appearance at the 2001 Music of the Knight Marching Band Competition. Poised with a talented staff as well new equipment musical and visual and new uniforms, the CCSU Marching Blue Devils are ready to recapture the proud tradition from its past!
